Instructions
- Mix oatmeal, salt, shortening, and 2 cups boiling water, rest 1 hour.
- Mix brown sugar, 0.25 cups warm water, add to above.
- Mix yeast, 0.25 cups warm water, sugar, add to above.
- Add flour, cover with damp cloth, let rise for 1(?) hours, beat, cover with damp cloth, let rise for 1(?) hours.
- Bake at 400F for 15 mins, reduce to 325F, bake 30 mins.
